Description: The Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (AACI) centre in Birmingham, UK is committed to provision of a high quality comprehensive multidisciplinary evidence-based service meeting international standards and places the patient at the heart of its service. The centre believes in embedding research into routine clinical practice and involves patients and patient organisations in strategic planning. The centre recognises the increasing unmet demand for allergy services in the UK and the financial squeeze in the National Health Service (NHS) and is working towards newer models of safe service delivery including application of tele-medicine and artificial intelligence. The centre has access to a wide range of multidisciplinary personnel in the NHS and University of Birmingham and is in a strong position to conduct cutting edge innovative research to improve patient care and disseminate knowledge and skills globally to the scientific and clinical community.
