On 9-10 October in Sochi, Russia during the IX CIS Congress of Allergology and Immunology, the World Allergy Organization and the Emerging Societies Program (ESP) along with the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology held a World Allergy Training School (WATS).

The IX CIS Congress had more than 1340 Delegates who participated from all CIS Countries.  Among those, CIS invited 35 participants from 12 CIS Countries to attend the WATS.

Professor Walter Canonica and Dr James Sublett were invited on behalf of WAO to speak at the WATS event.  Prof Canonica spoke on: Asthma Treatment Biomarkers, The United Airways Disease, and IL5 as Target of Asthma Treatment.   Prof Sublett followed with: The Diagnosis and Management of Anaphylaxis, and Chronic Rhinosinusitis: a Review of Worldwide Guidelines.  Together they presented two interactive workshops on Skin Tests in Allergy and Spirometry.
